Several of them started to head off for bed but Dee encouraged them to stay up and socialize, saying "we didn't come here to sleep!" She might have ulterior motives with that, I don't know, but she got them perky and peppy and they marched through the house in parade formation and into the backyard to do a conga line at nearly 2am.And there was confirmation that Angela, Dee, Devens are working with Barrett and Drew. (I heard that last week, so that's been established for awhile now.) Their side-pieces include Chuk/Hayley/Kamu for Dee and Devens, named Red Corner. (Some of the fanbase thinks that's a political reference, and it may be, but I don't think Kamu's that clever: it's a boxing term and he's an MMA fighter.) And Drew has a fake(?) alliance with Melody called Upside Down, possibly also to include Lyric and Melody. This morning they were woken early and told to get camera ready for the swimsuit photo shoot, after Angela announced last night they never have to do anything on Sundays. Jason said he was excited to show off his chest hair (usually absent for work), and later he had a moment in the pantry that led to a cry. He peptalked himself, slapped himself with a slice of deli meat, and recovered. He told Lyric and Ashley about it and a butterfly fluttered by causing awws, and he joined Haley's yoga class. Angela talked some more about being a realtor and the neighborhood expert about her neighborhood, and she told Barrett "once you're a live feeder, you're hooked as a live feeder." Yep, she said this to guy who's watched feeds with us for I don't know how long, and last year posted "no other show could possibly make me this mad about things that haven't even happened yet #bb27". Yash pitched a seven-person alliance to Rome, to potentially include Barrett, Jason, LaTrice, Lyric, plus Taylor who they hope to save on Thursday against Ashley, who they plan to push as renom. Rome said if there's too many people in the group, he'd bow out so Lyric could keep her spot. Yep, he said that. Ashley seems unaware that she's developed a bull's eye on her back, and Taylor seems too aware of hers as she complained more about being a nominee and a Have-not at the same time. Yash continued being spectacularly and comically unaware of most everything going on; Kamu continued talking like he's running the game; Jason continued his peculiar reads that are sometimes right and sometimes very wrong, along with his continual dislike and suspicion about Devens; Haley continued telling people she's not going to showmance with Kamu, despite both of them being hot; and Mallory continued talking about the veto win and her Zhu Zhu Pets strategy there, still mostly uninvolved in the game that's underway. Taylor did some floor sweeping, saying "a chore a day keeps the votes away" and Angela did some light dusting, Rachel style. Devens told Drew and Kamu he knows not liking LaTrice is "a personal problem" and he'll work on being friendly with her, and try to talk to her about their children. Probable renom Ashley got wind that she was in trouble so she went to meet with Dee, who told her yes it's possible but she's not her target, Yash is. Dee blamed "people" for floating Ashley for renom, and suggested Ashley work on people to push for Barrett instead of her. (Dee's mentioned Barrett as an option before but it's a distraction tactic.) Ashley stood up for herself and fought to stay off the block, but it was probably futile. Dee later told us people in there genuinely think she's stupid, and "that's really funny," and she said "fuckin idiots" under her breath as she left the room. Ashley began her rounds with individuals right away, probably pointlessly, but she's putting in the work and's that's good. Dee and Barrett had a check-in in HOH, knees touching and hands holding, and agreed Yash has to go. Moments after that hand-holding on feeds, which was unclear who's shmoozing who, if either or both, we learned on the show that Dee is actually Barrett's Survivor crush. Or so he said in Diary, but it seemed sincere. They also cleared up the rocket science/utility pole question with a Mallory Diary saying the utility pole stuff is just what she's telling them in there - maybe she figures nobody would give the win to a rocket scientist. First HOHs don't get letters from home since they just left, but they skipped over Dee's WHO WANTS TO SEE hollering and all her merch. They didn't get around to the traditional get-to-know-you champagne intro circle until 20 minutes into this, the third show. We learned Lyric and Rome started making out in bed on Day 2, and we saw Angela/Dee/Devens form a trio, which they then brought Drew into, and Barrett. Barrett Diary said he's fine with this group but he won't forget he was brought in to it last. Angela said a real alliance needs a name so those five went with Crossovers, complete with crossed forearms signal that was reminiscent of The Sheyld way back in the olden Canadian days. And we saw Dee and Devens form Red Corner with Chuk, Hayley, Kamu. Devens told Angela and Drew about that, which Dee didn't like. Back to feeds, Jason, LaTrice, Rome formed Mama's Angels. Jason told Rome he's going to tell everyone he (Jason) tried to kiss Rome, but was rejected. Angela climbed onto Jason in bed at one point, for some reason. Dee and Angela had a lengthy meeting/info exchange on the HOH bathroom floor. Dee said she hates Haley and Chuk, and suggested they make a pitch to Ashley after she goes on the block to work with them, but if Yash wins Block Buster on Thursday, Ashley will go and Taylor will stay. Angela said "you're my final two" and once again, Dee seemed fine with that, but she didn't reciprocate the words out loud. Mallory and Kamu had a meeting on the backyard balcony, which I'm including here for no particular reason. They were all called to the pantry and especially as this being Sunday, we feedsters got excited for our first booze delivery of the season. But no, they just got their drink tumblers (probably available in the CBS Store). A little later they were called to the pantry again but again there was no booze: it was LaTrice's birthday basket and party hats. Barrett's rounds moved on to Mallory who told him everything she knew about everyone and everything.First veto meeting is tomorrow. It usually happens late morning to early afternoon. Mallory will come down, and Ashley will probably go up. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory. Day 5 - Saturday - July 11, 2026 The overnight report launches makeout pairings onto the Extracurricular tally, with Lyric and Rome. He crawled into her bunk bed to do some whispering, which led to cuddling, which led to cuddling undercovers and couple-type comments, and slurpy kissing. Both seemed to be into the idea, but I'm not convinced Lyric's being genuine about it - time will tell. She said she'll flirt with the other guys to throw people off their scent. Today Rome told her he'd explained to people they got in bed together because she'd lost her voice and he couldn't hear her without getting up close, and he congratulated himself for such a great cover story. (Psst hey Rome, everyone knows.) Also late night seems to be when a lot of them leave the general chat behind and dive into gametalk whispers. It's not uncommon for most of the game to happen at night, but there was a well-defined separation yesterday which was interesting.![]() This year's Have-not room seems to be a medieval torture dungeon complete with iron maiden (suitable for closet use maybe?) and a round wooden platform with section dividers for the community bed, like a Catherine wheel I guess. But that's not all: the bed spins around off and on in the night. I'm sure that's no fun at all but it probably won't last long once they air a few shocking OMG THAT'S SO CRUEL segments on the episodes, before they ignore Have-nots completely on the show. This morning brought their first veto picks: Barrett and Melody will play with Dee, Mallory, Taylor, Yash, and LaTrice will host. There was some talk about Dr Will maybe making an appearance? Maybe he taped some bits the day he was there to photobomb the house tour. Also in decor news, the gym has a sectional sofa in it now, which is the funniest and most tongue-in-cheek thing they've done in the house in ages. Chuk/Haley and Drew/Melody have each established Final Twos. Drew and Melody both talk too much to others so if their F2 is a secret now, it won't be for long. Angela/Barrett/Dee/Devens seem tight, not surprisingly, with Cookout-style side pieces, and Drew was also talking about the Cookout's plus-one plan. There are a lot of other groups forming, or trying to form. Dolffica and BB Junkie will get most of that sorted out for us as we go.Angela's socializing a lot and people actually listen to her and interact when she tells her stories, unlike last time. Taylor made pre-veto nominee rounds including a hammock with Dee, who shmoozed her good and let Taylor think she was telling Dee how to play BB, and Dee told her she might consider Barrett as renom if one is needed. Dee later shmoozed Angela who gushed about how great everything was going, especially compared to her last time here, and she said "I trust you so much!" Dee replied "yeah, yeah, I agree." It sounded convincing and I don't know if Angela picked up on the words or just the tone. And Dee also shmoozed Yash, who said he'd been "a bit blindsided" by his nomination. Barrett told them about watching and posting last season on Bluesky, adding how BB "like breaks the app, it's number one" meaning trends, and yes we sure did that last year and so far this week. The adoptable anipals from Rancho Coastal Humane Society showed up a little before 2pm and took them away for their veto comp. Feeds came back almost three hours later and Mallory, who had been the target, won the first veto. It sounded like a puzzle comp where they had to connect pipes (like hamster habitrails maybe?), and they said it was hard. It sounded like BB6/7 Howie was there or involved somehow. They settled into chit-chat in various groups, with some speculation about who the renom would be, and some plans for next week (that will fall apart before then). Haley wasn't sure about the difference between veto and Block Buster and that was explained to her, and Jason described switching twins twist to those who weren't familiar. Devens and Rome sat down at the chessboard for Devens to do a shmooze session, and to explain what a BB backdoor is. Barrett and Dee talked about letting people think they're both dumb. Jason said he wants an iconic, memorable season, and he said he thinks everyone there is a superfan but some are pretending they're new. He told others that Dee doesn't know how to play BB and is stressed and needs guidance. What Does Jason Really Mean is rapidly becoming a side game. Or a drinking game. Taylor did some campaigning, and well. Yash did a little campaigning too, emphasis on a little. Lyric met with Dee and talked as if they're a duo, which Dee seemed to go along with, but I think that's fake on Dee's side as she also said she hadn't thought too much about who to put up as renom. Haley said a surprising string of surprisingly weird stuff, which I added to Lines of the Day below. Mallory the rocket scientist talked about her job inspecting or working on utility poles. It sounded like a specialized type of job but I'm here to say "it's not rocket science." She probably does have a degree in that, and BB's gonna BB when it comes to bio job descriptions. Chit-chat, meetings, and gametalks carried on, including Taylor and Dee (separately) with most of them at various times, and Barrett and Drew had a lengthy talk. The Chuk/Devens/Haley/Kamu group pitched ideas about this vote and future weeks plans, including "taking out the Melodys and the Lyrics." Haley pointed out, out loud, that Devens always says "that's interesting, but.." in response to ideas pitched by others. Ooof. Rome said "do you believe in life after love" lyrics to Lyric over toothpaste. If you missed what came before, click 'previous Hamsterwatch episode' up top and/or use my season directory.
